To meet the needs for rapid policy analyses on critical issues affecting health centers and the communities they serve, the Geiger Gibson/RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative complements its in-depth analyses with Data Notes intended to provide timely, evidence-based information and updates on a range of health policy matters for the health center and policy communities. Greater Investment in Community Health Centers Needed to Narrow Disparities in Health and COVID-19 Outcomes.

Community health centers have long played a critical role in promoting community-wide health and reducing health disparities, serving communities with high concentrations of poverty, racial and ethnic minority populations, elevated risk of poor health, few health care and social service resources, and limited access to affordable insurance coverage.

Health Center Data Insights: Changes in Health Center Patients, 2010-2016.

A new Health Center Data Insight by the Geiger Gibson/RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative at Milken Institute School of Public Health shows that for the six-year period 2010-2016, community health centers nationwide experienced a growth in patients served of one third, or 33%.
