Geiger Gibson-ACU Awards
The Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health is pleased to be partnering with the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved on a new award program. The Geiger Gibson-ACU Next Generation of Excellence Award will recognize student leaders pursuing health professions training in medicine, nursing, midwifery, dentistry, pharmacy, behavioral health, and allied health fields, at any stage from undergraduate and certificate-level through advanced clinical training. Eligible candidates are those who, as part of their training, have had direct experience working in a community health center setting or in mobile outreach. We are seeking nominations of young colleagues who demonstrate initiative and leadership in addressing the healthcare needs of underserved communities, whether through organizing, advocacy, direct service, innovation in care delivery, or actively shaping programs and challenging systems to drive measurable change.
Awardees will be recognized at ACU’s 2026 Annual Conference, July 26-29 in Washington, D.C. and will receive complimentary registration.
Nominations for the award are due Monday, June 1. You can learn more about ACU’s full awards program and nomination details for the new Geiger Gibson-ACU Next Generation of Excellence Award here.
