In a new report, authors Dr. Peter Shin and Jessica Sharac of the Geiger Gibson/ RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative examine the significant role of community health centers in providing services to low-income women of childbearing age and mitigating disparities. The authors also identify the challenges that CHCs will need to overcome to expand capacity and serve a greater number of high-risk, low-income women.
